YWCA Tri-County Area offers two twelve week after school programs held in area middle and high schools. In partnership with several local agencies, the YWCA presents a topic each week relating to issues facing today’s girls as they move through their secondary school years.
he interactive sessions touch on fitness, nutrition, girls bullying girls, stress management, healthy relationships, sexual harassment, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, STDs, and self-esteem. Refreshments, fun activities, and the opportunity for discussion on sensitive issues in a non-judgmental environment are all part of each week’s meeting.
