High School Equivalency

 

YWCA Tri-County Area offers classes to help individuals achieve their high school equivalency diploma, improve their reading, or brush up on math skills. Classes run quarterly in 11 week sessions offered in both morning and afternoon.

Other customizable learning opportunities can be discussed based on need, such as individualized tutoring.

YWCA Tri-County Area is now an APPROVED Testing Site for HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY EXAMS Pennsylvania has now provided students who did not graduate from high school and are interested in taking a HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY EXAM another testing option than the GED ® test. YWCA Tri-County Area in Pottstown is offering HiSet ®, a STATE APPROVED, paper-based, HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY TEST. Pennsylvania will issue a Commonwealth Secondary School Diploma for a student who passes the HiSet ® or GED ® test. HiSet ® is recognized and accepted by colleges, employers, and the U.S. military. The cost of each test of HiSet ® tests is $18.00. Interested test takers can register for a HiSet® test at https://hiset.ets.org/requirements/schedule/. Test takers must be a resident of Pennsylvania and eighteen (18) years of age. If you are sixteen (16) or seventeen (17) years of age you must have an approved age-waiver application from the Pennsylvania Department of Education before registering for a test. HiSet ®. HiSet® tests are available in both English as well as Spanish.
