High School Equivalency

Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate Program Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential™ is the most widely recognized credential in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and is a key stepping stone on the path to career advancement in ECE. CDA is a National Credentialing Program that focuses on the skills of early care and educating professionals who work with young children. CDA meets the requirements of childcare staff, home visitors, and family child care providers.

Class Schedule

  • Saturday, March 3 to May 19, 2018 – 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Hybrid Classes – Every other class face-to-face at 300 King Street and alternate classes online
  • Students without internet access provided opportunities to access online classes.

Cost

 

  • $400 for CDA class plus purchase text book for $25
  • $50 for required CPR/First/AED Training
  • $225 payment due first day of class

 

Renewal Classes for Recertification

 

  • Renewal Classes for CDA also offered during Saturday Classes
  • 45 hours of class time for Renewal Classes
  • Renewal classes also start on Saturday, March 3rd
  • Cost for Renewal Classes - $225
  • $112 payment due first day of class

CDA CERTIFICATE PROGRAM IS OFFERED THROUGH YWCA TRI-COUNTY AREA IN PARTNERSHIP WITH DICKERSON ASSOCIATES AND EDUCATION SERVICES

Reimbursement Policy

 

  • Before 1st class: 100% reimbursed
  • Before 2nd week: 50% reimbursed, CDA class only – not CPR/AED/First Aid Before
  • 3rd week: 25% reimbursed, CDA class only - not CPR/AED/First Aid
  • After 3rd week no refunds.
