Stand Against Racism

Coming April 2017

Stand Against Racism is a signature campaign of YWCA USA to build community among those who work for racial justice and to raise awareness about the negative impact of institutional and structural racism in our communities. This campaign is one part of our larger national strategy to fulfill our mission of eliminating racism.

Last Year's Campaign

Last year the theme was On A Mission for Girls of Color! We will amplified the national discussion about the impacts of institutional and structural racism on the lives of girls of color. YWCA Tri-County Area visited local high schools and middle schools to interview students about their personal experiences with racism and educated students on the effects of racism and how to combat it. Students were also invited to participate in an essay contest on the impact of racism.
